Once you order additional SSD Storage, it is not possible to "just" cancel or stop paying the monthly fee without losing your data. Please only cancel this add-on or stop paying for it if you are certain the data on your server is not important. You may also want to consider ordering another server and transferring all the data to the new server before cancelling the old server.How to apply the Additional Storage
After purchase, you may notice that the Storage of your server hasn't updated, we recommended using the provided tool named "GParted" which is available via the SolusVM Control Panel, follow the steps below:- Login to your SolusVM Control Panel.
- Select Manage next to the upgraded server.
- Scroll down to the tabs section and select the CDRom tab.
- Select GParted and click Mount.
Below is an example of how it will look like:

- Doing so, you will receive a message similar to "CDROM Mounted. A reboot is required for the changes to take affect". Do not reboot the server yet.
- Next select the Settings from the tabs list and from the Boot Order dropdown list, select (1) CDROM (2) Hard Disk. You will receive a message similar to "Settings Updated. A reboot is required for the changes to take affect".
Below is an example of how it will look like:

- Now reboot the server through the SolusVM Control Panel and follow the steps to resize the storage.
- After you've completed the resize process, please rever the actions done before resizing the storage such as changing the boot order back to (1) Hard Disk (2) CDROM and Unmounting the GParted CDRom. Then make sure to reboot the server again via the SolusVM Control Panel.
